Granite Kitchen Worktops

 

Granite has an attractive mottled appearance and comes in many colours and grains. It is incredibly hard-wearing and is very resistant to heat, stains and water damage, and can be pre-cut to include sink inserts and draining grooves. It's usually supplied polished and very glossy, but can also be honed for a contempoary matt finish

 

One of the more expensive options depending on type of granite choosen. Although many would argue the elegance it brings to the kitchen is worth it. The cool flat surface is also ideal for baking.

 

PROS: Natural finish, Stain resistant, Hard Wearing, Low maintainace, Can be cut into any shape

 

CONS: Can be expensive, Heavy

 

CARE: Mild detergent, Some cheaper stone can benefit from sealing.
