Matt - Mural Artist & Painter

 

Matt's art is kind of bipolar. On the one hand the UK artist illustrates figures of cute, innocent young girls for big name clients then on the other he throws up dark sinister graf that comes across as a psychy cocktail of THC and LSD. Itis kind of messed up but in a good way.

 

He originally hails from County Durham in the north-east of England and is currently based in Brighton. The 33-year-old illustrator/artist's work draws on his rural heritage, fusing bucolic, psychedelic landscapes with a symbolic treatment of animals, beautiful characters and fairytale-like narratives.

 

Matt has always produced a vast amount of personal work, which has seem him gain a large following around the world. His canvases and hand-printed screenprints are highly sought after; these, plus his involvement in the graffiti/street art movement have led to his work being featured in an array of publications including Scrawl, Art of Rebellion 2, and Los Logos.
